Paolo Troilo and his abstract surreal graphics

Paintings by Italian artist Paolo Troilo can be called the sleight of hand, the masterful hand work, because no other tools are used. Paint, paper, and his own fingers - that's what he needs to create such realistic images. However, there isn't a slightest hint that his paintings were done this way.

He draws, scooping up his five fingers into acrylic paint and putting them on canvas, leaving a neat precise brushstrokes that eventually add up to a portrait. Paolo Troilo mainly depicts strong, slender and handsome men, his paintings deliver strong emotional and sexual energy, and thus attract attention. The author deliberately uses a monochrome scheme, preferring gray, white colours, occasionally adding some pale green background.
